Mathematics and Physics Teacher

We are looking for a Mathematics and Physics Teacher subject teacher for an International School based in Xian. This is a full-time position starting from August 2024 academic year or ASAP.

About the school

Xian has been home to this international school since 2003 and it is the city's first institution to offer the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) programs. The school provides educational programs ranging from the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, to the Diploma Programme, covering all educational levels from kindergarten to high school.

Job responsibilities

• Teach mathematics and physics  to middle school students
• Provided differentiated instruction to reach all learners
• Embrace a concept-based, inquiry-based approach to Mathematics.
• Work independently and collaboratively to design and refine curriculum with team members in the department and inter-disciplinary units with other department members
• Monitor ongoing progress and report through ATL progress reports, report cards and 3-way conferences to students and parents
• Work with the pastoral teams, meet with parents to maintain links between home and school
• Take an active role in the wider curriculum, participating in extra-curricular activities and Week Without Walls trips
• Maintain records of student work and progress through Secondary Learning Profiles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• At least 2 years related teaching experiences or above
• Current teaching certification or bachelor degree in education
• A good understanding of the IB MYP  and DP Mathematics curriculum
  
• Excellent English communication skills
• Positive work attitude and passion on teaching.

Salary and benefits:

• Monthly salary of 28,000 to 37,000 RMB
