Award Leader for Digital Media and Data Science

Job details

• To deliver modules on and lead its BA (Hons) Digital Media and BSc (Hons) Data Science award programmes.
• Play a pivotal role in contextualizing University of Stirling modules for delivery in China
• Selecting and developing appropriate learning materials and activities and incorporating these into the programmes, and in some instances developing material for completely new modules.
• Working closely with the Executive Dean at Stirling College, Chengdu University, and with faculty and administrators at the University of Stirling to ensure the quality of teaching and assessment on the programmes.
• They will also play a role in the selection of the additional staff who will be needed as delivery of the higher levels of the programme begins over the coming years.

Requirements

• PhD in a relevant subject area
• At least 5 years of Higher Education teaching experience
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons in English
• Student-focused approach to teaching
• Effective at using assessment for and of learning
• At least 2 years of programme leadership experience in a Higher Education context
• Ability to design programmes of learning within the frameworks of the University’s descriptors and policies
• Ability to contextualise programmes of learning for a Chinese context
• Understanding of the cultural and legal environment in China
• Relevant industry experience
