American Literature Teacher

We are looking for an American Literature Teacher for an international High School based in Beijing. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible or from the upcoming academic year February 2023.

A US-China international school located a walking distance from the Olympic Forest Park in Beijing. The school is a part of larger group that established American-styled high schools and affiliated programs across the glove.

Job details

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and activities from approved course outlines such us; General and Honors English 9, General and Honors English 10, American Literature, World Literature, Speech, Journalism, Drama, Creative Writing, Geography, General and Honors US History, General and Honors World History. and group planning sessions
• Organize the classroom and learning resources to create a positive learning climate that motivates students to learn
• Use approaches that are appropriate to student needs and interests
• Use a variety of assessment approaches and processes to improve student learning
• Provide timely feedback to students, parents and colleagues on student progress and maintain a positive professional relationship with the parents
• Participate and assist in programs that promote the school curriculum, development, and implementation
• Undertake or participate in school events, activities, and other assignments
• Work collaboratively with others to plan and coordinate work

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or above
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in teaching
• Hold a teaching certificate
• Passionate and Energetic in teaching
• Excellent English communication skills
