Science Teacher

We are looking for a Science Teacher for an International School based in Beijing. This position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in February 2026.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging science lessons and provide academic support to secondary school students (junior middle school).
• Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and co-curricular science programs (e.g. Science Week and other themed activities).
• Help organize and run science activities for different age groups (lower, middle, and upper school).
• Support lab work and ensure safety, order, and cleanliness in all science labs.
• Support the robotics and STEAM programs when possible.
• Collaborate with other teachers and departments, including supporting ESL learners in science classes.
• Enhance students’ scientific skills and provide extension or extra tutorials for students with special talent in science.
• Promote 4C skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity) and cross-cultural understanding among students and colleagues.
• Participate in curriculum work, professional development, and ensure teaching materials are properly stored on the school’s online platforms.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress, lead or support clubs/electives, assist with duties, student activities, trips, and complete routine admin tasks such as attendance and grading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher
• Relevant teaching experience in an international setting
• Background in teaching science, physics or related subjects
