Primary Homeroom Teacher

We are looking for a Primary Homeroom Teacher (Grade 4) for an International School based in Ningbo. This is a full-time position starting from August 2023.

Top international school based in Ningbo’s Sanjiangkou area. The school has kindergarten and a primary division where it integrates China’s national curriculum an IB curriculum concepts to meet educational needs for all students and promote a strong international outlook. 

Job details

• Serving on content specific curriculum committees to create content, evaluating the instructional program, and making improvements as needed
  
• Working cooperatively with other school personnel to meet students’ needs
• Maintaining accurate, complete, and confidential records as required by school policy
• Establishing a set of classroom behavioral expectations based on clearly defined goals and principles
• Understanding and is aware of the cultural and language support students require for academic growth, Pre-K through Third Grade
• Attending academic, departmental, and school meetings when required, and attending/delivering professional development sessions as directed

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree 
• At least 2 years’ experience in the Elementary classroom
• Intercultural competence and the ability to foster collaboration and trust
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office, virtual meeting spaces
• Familiarity with digital learner management systems
• Only teachers with official permission to work will be considered – teachers who are new to China will be assisted to ensure they comply with immigration and work regulations.
