We are looking for a PYP Curriculum Coordinator for an international school based in Shenzhen. This position is available with the 2026/27 upcoming academic year in February 2026.

About the role

The PYP Coordinator serves as the primary division’s pedagogical leader, bridging strategic vision with daily instruction. This role drives the integration of the IB framework and American standards, fostering an inquiry-based culture while mentoring staff to ensure holistic student success.

  • Teach assigned courses and lead the development of the IB PYP curriculum while ensuring alignment with Common Core State Standards.
  • Plan and facilitate ongoing professional development and provide mentorship to staff on IB methodologies and instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create interdisciplinary, student-centered units that integrate social-emotional learning and accommodate diverse learner needs.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the International Baccalaureate Organization to manage accreditation processes, documentation, and compliance.
  • Coordinate PYP-specific events, exhibitions, and assessments to ensure the program runs smoothly and meets international standards.
  • Monitor student progress using data-driven approaches and prepare detailed reports for school leadership and the IBO.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and the community through effective communication regarding student progress and program initiatives.
  • Oversee the allocation of resources and materials to ensure classrooms are fully equipped to support the curriculum.
  • Lead innovation by regularly evaluating program effectiveness and implementing best practices to enhance the quality of education.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Education or a related field
  • Current teaching certification
  • 3+ years of PYP classroom experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
