Middle School English Teacher

We are looking for a Middle School English Teacher for a Bilingual school based in Shanghai. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August, 2023.

About the school

Situated in the bustling metropolitan of Shanghai, China, this bilingual school resides in the Pudong district and is spread across a terrain of 35,000 m2. It comprises of a kindergarten, primary, middle and high school divisions. The school offers courses that are based on the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) programs with the English language being the medium of instruction.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach English subject courses to middle school students
• Maintain lesson plans, semester plans and notes on learning and goals
• Maintain an actively engaged classroom environment
• Sustain frequent contact with students and parents about student performance and behavior
• Participate in school events as requested by Principal of the Middle School
• Supervise students in the classroom, on the grounds, and on the field trips or related experiences out of class

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or above
• Majoring in education preffered
• TESOL/TEFOL certificate or higher
• Previous related teaching experience highly preferred
• Excellent communications skills in English

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 20,000 to 24,000 RMB per month depending on experience and qualifications
