Literature and Academic Writing Teacher

We are looking for a Literature and Academic Writing Teacher for an International School based in Chengdu. This is a full-time position starting from August 2024.

Job details

• Teach the school’s literature and academic writing curriculum to high school students aging 15 to 18
• Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
• Co-teach with Chinese teachers and be prepared to develop and improve school-based curriculum
• Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
• Working schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30-17:30, 20 teaching hours, 40 minutes per class

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in English or Literature
• More than 2 years’ related teaching experience in international schools
• Familiar with AP and IB courses, relevant certificates preferred
• Excellent English communication skills
• Passionate and Energetic in teaching

Salary and benefits

• Monthly Salary of 17,000 to 22,000 RMB before tax
