We are looking for a Head of Boarding for an International School based in Chengdu. This position is available from the upcoming 2026-27 academic year in August 2026.

Job responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the boarding program, ensuring a safe, caring, and well-disciplined environment for all students
- Lead and manage the boarding staff team, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection standards
- Foster a nurturing, community-oriented atmosphere that promotes student wellbeing, independence, and personal growth
- Collaborate closely with academic staff, parents, and external service providers to support students’ academic and emotional development
- Organize evening, weekend, and holiday activities to enrich the boarding experience
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practices regarding student accommodation and care
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above (Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in a boarding school or residential setting
- Strong understanding of child safeguarding and welfare practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Culturally sensitive and able to work with students from diverse backgrounds
Salary and benefits
