We are looking for an English Teacher for a bilingual school based in Shenzhen. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2024.

 

About the school

Co-educational Bilingual (English and Mandarin) school based in Shenzhen’s Longhua area. The campus is located on a beautiful resort and only 45 minutes from Shenzhen city center and 2 hours from Hong Kong island. The school offers a blended bilingual program to Pre-K, Pre School, Prep and Senior School divisions where they progress to IGCSE and A' levels to ensure they are well prepared for IGCSE examinations.

 

Job Description

  • Teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to students in primary school
  • Plan collaboratively with other English teachers to teach the school’s English Curriculum to your class;
  • Build strong routines for young children to enhance their sense of well-being and belonging
  • Document learning in order recognize and value children’s achievements, celebrate successes and plan following up steps
  • Organizing and participating in events in order to build community, celebrate success and showcase learning to parents
  • Engage in parent communication and offer opportunities for parents to engage in learning
  • Provide in pastoral care together with Chinese bilingual homeroom teachers
  • Teach 1 period of Morality in English per week as well as your English Second Language Teaching of 21 periods.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree (or higher) in education
  • At least 2 year relevant teaching experience
  • Teacher Qualifications such as PGCE, QTS or equivalent preferred
  • Eligible to apply the English teaching work visa

  • Monthly salary of 22,000 to 33,000 RMB before tax depending on experience and qualifications
