English Language and IELTS Teacher

We are looking for an English Language and IELTS Teacher for bilingual school in Shanghai. This position is available from February 2026.

About the role

Teach advanced English language, literature, and university preparation to high students using an internationally aligned framework (IGCSE/A-Level, IELTS, and global university standards) for an engaging, rigorous experience.

Deliver grade-specific content

• Grade 9 literature/short stories/drama with ESL/IELTS foundations
• Grade 10 journal reading and academic writing plus continued IELTS
• Grade 11 long-form essays (2,000 words) and advanced IELTS
• Grade 12 personal statement proofreading and interview training
• Prepare lessons, assessments, and reports; co-teach and enhance curriculum
• Monitor progress with clear targets to ensure academic excellence and university readiness
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents
• Foster a safe, supportive learning environment

Requirements

• Bachelor degree, Master’s degree preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in teaching literature reading and academic writing
• Experience in teaching IG ESL & IELTS exam is preferred
• Experience in teaching drama is preferred
• Teacher certification required

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of up to 32,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Monthly housing allowance of 3,000 RMB
