Biology Teacher

We are looking for a Biology Teacher for an international School based in Foshan. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2023.

About the school

Foshan's first international-based secondary school was founded in 2016. It's located on a quiet green campus in the Nanhai District of Foshan in Southern China and 2 bus stops away from Guangzhou South Railway station. From there, you can travel all over China by high-speed rail. Hong Kong can be reached in less than one hour by high-speed train from the railway station. The school offers British IGCSE/A-Level, as well as American Advanced Placement, courses following their 4C Ethos: Cheerful, Cooperative, Creative, Challenging through their middle and high school divisions.

Job responsibilities

• Teach the school’s Biology subject to school students aging from 15 to 17 years old
• Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
• Co-teach with Chinese teachers and be prepared to develop and improve school-based curriculum
• Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers

Job requirements

• Holding a bachelor’s degree or higher in related majors in Biology
• Professional teaching certifications such as PGCE or teaching license in the subject;
• Minimum 3 years teaching experiences of Biology in international schools;
• Experience of teaching in one or more of the following A-levels and IGCSE;
• Excellent communication skills in delivering class in English

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 20,000 to 30,000 RMB depending on experience and qualifications
