Arts and Humanities Teacher

We are looking for an Arts and Humanities teacher for an international school based in Guangzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the August 2023 academic year.

The school has an Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary divisions with outstanding educational results in IGCSE and the A Level programmes, where their graduates go on to study and top universities across the world.

Job description

As the Arts and Humanities Teacher you'll teach IGCSE Global Perspectives to lower Secondary & whole school Art subject to Kindergarten up to high school. Teachers may use creativity, humor and imagination to develop schemes of work and to plan lessons in order to foster a healthy culture of learning within the classroom and to generate the most effective interactions with pupils. Teachers encourage, monitor and record the progress of individual pupils, and devise and tailor resources accordingly, including technology.

You'll also keep up to date with developments in their subject area, new resources, methods and school wide initiatives. Teachers liaise and network with other professionals, parents and carers both informally and formally.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in the relevant teaching subject
• A good grasp of the methodology of teaching related subjects
• Have an understanding and ability to teach pupils of all abilities
• At least 2 Years teaching experience in an international school
• Qualified home-country teaching license will be a plus
