Art Teacher

International college in Chengdu is looking for an Art Teacher to provide high quality teaching and learning of Art within the Art department. This is a full-time position with 24 lessons a week based in Chengdu, China.

Responsibilities:

• To teach Art throughout the international college (Years 7 – 13)
• Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated Art curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate
• To play a part in the broader life and running of this international boarding school
• To monitor your classes’ work and assessment grades and keep pupil achievement records
• To write reports and enter assessment grades when required
• To support and work with the Departmental team (including administrative support staff where appropriate);
• To attend parents’ meetings and other school events as directed by the Headmaster

Requirements:

• Organised and committed to the job role
• Experience of working in a teaching position in this subject area for at least two years
• Educated to degree level and hold qualified teacher status
• Excellent writing skills
• Clear and confident communication skills, able to liaise at all levels and with all members of the school community
